Real Life
Oof, I'm working my way into my normal world again... But it's August, so it's not exactly normal here. The first thing I did when I got home at 6 is take a nap. I love naps, but my Mom is right, they're addicting. I'm starting to NEED one every day.
Anyways, I just woke up and I went downstairs to buy groceries since we didn't have a chance to do the shopping during the weekend, but the supermarket below is closed from the 5th to the 25th! This means I have to hoof it down 4 or 5 blocks to the big Caprabo at the end of the street. Better selection, but a lot longer to carry the food back!
So, since the other store doesn't close until 9:30, I decided to check my blogs a bit. I had a long chat with Jim Hughes today via AOL (he's using Jabber). We're constantly running into spelling problems because he's English and I'm American. He just posted his thoughts about the English language including some links to an effort by the British to bring back the Anglo-Saxon "ash" (), "thorn" () and "eth" (). Quite amusing (it IS a joke I'm assuming... Irony is lost on us Americans).
I wonder if Jim's seen this site which I just ran across while reading MetaFilter.
Lots more to catch up on.
