Whew!
Oh good, I didn't screw Niel with some bad code. He emailed me this morning:
Hey Russ,
I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you that MiniBlog is working fine. I had some problems earlier in the day because I was changing the database, but it's back up now.
Thanks again for making your software available. I am having a lot of fun with it. If you have any updated versions of MiniBlog, I would be interested in seeing it.
Thanks,
Niel
Oof. That's good to hear. I DEFINITELY have some bug fixes I'll get to today and send to Niel. There's a bunch of bugs with the permalinks and dates. The problem is this: I repurposed my original code to make it more generic and posted it as MiniBlog. But then I went on my merry way with the original stuff, fixing it up and adding to it. Doh! Going back to the branch point is going to be a difficult task, so I think I'm not going to do that. I think it'll be easier this time to repurpose the code (again) for generic use, and then USE THAT from now on. That way any enhancements I make to this site will automatically go into the MiniBlog without me having to make any special effort. REALLY I should have done this before.
