Ad Council Campaign For Freedom
I was chatting with some friends tonight and they told me about the Ad Council's Campaign For Freedom commercials on TV. Obviously being here in Spain, I haven't seen any of them. Wrap your head around the fact that I haven't been in the U.S. since well before 9/11 last year... I have no idea what it's like back home. I'm almost afraid to find out.
Anyways, these ads are awesome. The Main Street one is a bit cheesy, but the rest are great. There's one where a kid goes into a library and asks the librarian for help because he can't find some books he's looking for. She taps at the computer and then looks up. "These books aren't available anymore. Can I have your name please?" And he responds, "Why?" As he backs away, two guys get up from a table and arrest him... you can hear him asking, "What did I do?" Freakin' scary. Good ad.
It's what life in the U.S. would be like if people like John Ashcroft were in charge... oh. shit.
