Day 3
Wow! I feel really good today. Well, for some inexplicable reason, I slept 12 hours last night. I just didn't want to get up. But now I'm great... running at 99% with only a slight headache/light headedness (caffeine doesn't want to let go, I'm thinking). And, if that wasn't enough, I bought the Keretone strips (called "interacetona" here in Spain - THANKS PEDRO!) which are these strips that you pee on to see if you're burning fat yet and I'm definitely there. Very purple. Woohoo! I'm going to go out for a run today - very light, say 15-20 minutes - just to encourage my body along.
Now, still on the brainwashing theme, maybe Atkins has done a good job at convincing me that I'm going to feel the way I do. Check out "What to expect in the first week of Induction" and you'll see this:
The next thing that is likely to strike you is a sense that you've latched onto some misplaced, long-lost energy level. Typically, this feeling arrives around about the third or fourth day. Some people experience a slight euphoria. Most simply find they no longer have to suffer those dreary, weary periods that used to hit them a couple of times a day.
Yep, that's me. Cool. It's either working, or I'm very impressionable.
Lots to write about today... I'm going to do it in various posts.
