Google Spying and Your Personal Brand
When I can't find someone's name via their blog and I want to link to them, I usually try to Google their email address and look for other entries by that address on forums or what not. It usually works, which is how I knew Danno's name a while ago.
Anyone who doesn't have their name prominently displayed on their blog are really missing out on a great opportunity to build their "personal brand." (Another Tom Peters thing). If it's by choice, that's cool. I'm all for low-key people who don't want to get spammed or nailed for something they write online. But if you're interested in building your name recognition or bumping up your site/resume/projects on Google, blogging with your name up high has worked wonders for me. I encourage everyone to do it.
