I have a cold
I forgot to mention that I have a cold. Since I've come to Europe I've gotten them every 3 to 6 months. There's some seriously different viruses here and they knock me on my ass on a regular basis. I'm not one of those people who say I am "never sick", but it's pretty ridiculous how much I've been sick since I've been here in Spain.
My American boss has a cold too... he says the same exact thing. He's been here a year and he's had a bunch of colds. It's ridiculous. What's more is that most times the colds never get passed to my wife. I've been doing my best not to touch Alex for the past couple of days, but you know what, I don't think it matters. He's got a daily dosis of mother's milk and probably won't even notice it. That's good, I don't want a sick baby at all. But ugh. This sucks that I get to be the one always sick.
Anyways, it seems to be getting better. I've gone past the super-scratchy throat phase into the stuffy nose phase and my body finally feels like the lead weights have come off. Ahh. Finally.
I shouldn't push it, I know. I should go to sleep relatively early tonight and let my body fight off the virus. However, if I can stay up, I'm going to see if I can find the World Series on TV here at 2 a.m. or maybe at the bar downstairs... and if not, I MAY even go downtown to the Hard Rock Cafe which will surely have it on. We'll see...
