From the Incredible to the Mundane
So I'm done flying around the world and now I'm back home in California. Whew! I had one of those post jet lag nights last night where I fell asleep at 8 p.m., woke up at 10:30 p.m. then went to bed at 5:30 a.m., woke up at 7 a.m. fell back asleep at 7:30 a.m. and had to be vigorously shook awake at 10 a.m. to bring Ana to her driving test. Soon thereafter I found myself in the sun outside the Redwood City DMV waiting for Ana to pass her test and she did! Yay! That's a picture above of her maiden solo voyage. :-)
Hey, and see the trees? It's so nice to be back in Sunny California! I was expecting colder temperatures when I got to Finland, but I couldn't believe that there'd be no leaves on the trees there yet. It didn't feel like we had crossed the world, but also went back in time. I hate Winter so I was having some trouble adjusting, believe me. Back home it's like it's Summer again! Whew! I can feel my mood changing completely. I'm even wearing shorts today to celebrate.
Now I'm at work looking at my emails (work and personal), my aggregator, and my project schedule and wondering what I need to do to catch up. Woof. Also, my website is FLAKY AS HELL today. It's gone down four times in the past 24 hours and I have no idea why. The logs aren't telling me crap, there's nothing else running except my weblog. Urgh. I so need to get off my ass and move to PHP, I'm sick of dealing with flaky Java servers.
PhotoMatt seems to like LightHTTPD, but after checking out their website, I got a serious case of triskaidekaphobia. Someone tell me when they're off of version 1.3.13.
