My mom sent me a pic of the snow outside their shop in Northern New Hampshire today. Looks like they got 4 or 5 inches and it was still coming down.

It gives everything a nice holiday vibe, I must admit, but the image gives me shivers - especially this time of year when in the mountains the sun goes down at like 4 p.m. and it's pitch black by 4:30 - with my penchant for staying up late, I'd go days at a time without seeing any sort of natural light when I was living there. It's like being in a cave for two months! Bleh!

Happily I live in California now. It's raining here today which means it'll be turning *greener* soon. That I like.
