Twit Rebellion!
Okay, there seems to be some sort of weird, visceral reaction to having Twitter messages in my feed. Normally I would just insist that this is my blog and my feed, blah, blah, blah, but I don't feel like fighting that battle right now (Happy Holidays!) so I flipped back to the old feed.
I wonder if its because there was a big dump of changes? I mean that happens when you do *anything* to a feed... not much I could do about that. It's not like I post 30 messages a day to Twitter or anything or will in the future. Or the content itself? If I posted a few short one liners instead would people still get annoyed?
Still, some were so hyper anal I have to wonder if they're having some sort of knee jerk (emphasis on jerk) reaction to something new? Like one person got on me for not responding to the comments until now... Even I have to sleep, you moron. Someone else pointed out a bug in my XML CDATA output as if the off-chance I break my own feed is somehow an offense to them. Weird!
Anyways, the point of my post the other day about Twitter and services like it was that they are just "messages" just like regular blog posts. This is a message in a longer form, and those were messages as well in shorter form, but they're all from me and should be centralized, which is why I wanted them here.
See? Now this is why I don't like comments... ;-)
